From Insights to Action: Phase 2 Preview
Your participation in the November 2025 Buy a Feature session was Phase 1 of a two-phase process. Here's how the phases connect:
Goal: Understand what trainers prioritize and why
Methodology: Multi-group Buy a Feature with comprehensive analysis
Output: Prioritized feature list with cross-group validation

Phase 1 tells us what and why. Phase 2 determines when and how. Separating insights from implementation allows us to make better sequencing decisions based on technical dependencies, resource constraints, and strategic timing.
Not all high-priority features belong on the immediate roadmap. In Phase 2, we'll classify features using a framework that considers multiple dimensions:
Does this align with Horizon Engage's positioning? Some features make us "Miro-like" when our differentiation is structure, not freeform.
Engineering effort, dependencies, and architectural impact. Some high-priority features are quick wins; others require significant foundational work.
Features with high cross-group consensus (6 features achieved this) are safer bets than those prioritized by only one group.
Will this unlock new use cases, expand addressable market, or significantly improve retention? Some features have multiplicative effects.
Technical risk, scope creep potential, and unknowns. Critical infrastructure (like login/SSO) carries high risk of scope expansion.
Engineering time, ongoing maintenance, and opportunity cost. We must balance "what trainers want" with "what we can sustainably deliver."
This feature ranked #1 with perfect consensus. Here's how it might be classified:
Likely Decision: Include in Q1 2026 roadmap with clear scope boundaries (upload only, no editing initially).
You invested time and expertise in this session. We're committed to closing the loop by showing you exactly how your input shaped the roadmap—including features we're NOT building and why. Transparency builds trust and demonstrates the value of your participation.
Traditional product management often relies on:
Your Buy a Feature session provided something none of these methods can: quantified priorities validated across multiple independent groups.
This data will be cited in every roadmap discussion for the next 6 months. When someone asks "Why are we building X instead of Y?", we have objective evidence: "Because 15 trainers independently allocated 100% of budget to X, while Y received only 20% funding."
Your participation created the foundation for data-driven decision-making.
